Pinch Pleat Curtains

The most popular curtain header, pinch pleat curtains are a group of pleats separated by flat
sections of fabric. They are available as a single, double (twin) or triple pinch and when pushed back, the flat sections fold backwards and the pleats gather neatly.

A great option in lightweight fabric or with heavy interlining and blackout lining, missing the floor or overlong and can add embellishments such as buttons to the pleats or contrast banding for extra detail.

Wave Curtains

A wave curtain is a more contemporary option – fitted to a wave track the wave curtain stacks in a concertina rather than having a gather – creating a ripple effect as the curtain pulls.

The wave track has cords that regulate the distances the runners can pull, creating the perfect wave and seamless style. Great for sheer fabrics set inside a recess or lightweight blackout curtains and double tracks.

Pencil Pleat Curtains

The classic curtain header and most budget-friendly solution. Pencil pleat curtains are created using a sew-on heading tape and gathered with pull cords.

Still very popular, pencil pleat can be used with sheer or heavily lined fabrics and are also perfect for under pelmets.

Sheer Voile Curtains

A great option for windows with privacy issues or when needing to soften the amount of sunlightcoming into a room.

Sheer curtains can be subtle and discreet, or a real feature to a room – available in a wide range of cotton, linen and polyester fabrics, plain, patterns, ombres and embroideries!

Eyelet Curtains

With metal rings in the curtain header that weave in and out along the pole, an eyelet curtain is a modern contemporary look.

Eyelet curtains hang from a pole threaded through metal rings. Eyelet curtains make a striking feature of a window due to the deep folds of fabric that run in uniform lines from top to bottom. Blackout eyelet curtains provide style and excellent levels of light control.

Cartridge pleat curtains are similar to a pinch pleat, but the fold is filled and left unpinched – to create a row of tubes at the top of the curtain with regulated spaces, giving a neat and structured finish.

By pinching these cartridges we create a more classical Goblet pleat, both look great with a plain or a large pattern and can be real statement curtains.

At Axford Interiors, our design team will measure your window space during your initial consultation. We will then send the measurements to our manufacturers before creation.

However, if you would like to measure the space yourself beforehand, begin by measuring the width of your desired window. Decide what length of curtain you like – whether to the sill, below it, or to the floor.

Next, consider if you would like straight curtains or a puddled effect. Measure the curtain size depending on the desired effect.

Both of these measurements combined should give you an approximate idea of measurements for your new curtains.
